Fish Responsibly!
Turtles Protected from Swordfish Fishery
A victory for Pacific sea turtles! A federal council voted to maintain a standing prohibition on a West Coast-based high seas longline fishery, which will prevent the opening of a new swordfish fishery that would threaten migrating loggerhead sea turtles and other marine wildlife on the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean.

You can make a difference ... think about it! Whatever you do that requires disposal has an influence on the health of our ocean. Linked together all around us is water - lakes, rivers, creeks, ponds, storm drain run-off, acid rain and sewage after rainfalls - we are a community of our own making. Our community activity ultimately ends up in the ocean's intertidal zones. Educate yourself, your family and friends to be aware of pollution solutions.
The health of our ocean begins at your front door!

Studies have found about 30% of our Ocean water to be unhealthy and is contaminating marine mammals due to pollution and chemical contamination. This makes sealife more susceptible to disease and reproductive difficulties. Visit Oceana.org and let's work together to help manage our Ocean Environment. ...we can make a difference...
