Evelyn Mary Fernandez grew up in East Los Angeles and graduated from Anderson University, Indiana in Art and Education and taught Art and History in Public Schools for 30 years. Upon retirement, started a new career in oil painting and specializes in seascapes and coastal scenes. Her bright vivid colors are inspirations from living in San Clemente by the ocean most of her life and traveling frequently with her husband Reggie to his hometown in Hawaii. Evie is an active member of the San Clemente Art Association and many of her paintings are on display at the San Clemente City Hall Building.
