Dana Point - Boat Parade of Lights
When: December - First and Second Week-ends - 7:30 pm

 You can view the parade FREE  from anywhere in the Harbor
or the cliffs overlooking the historic harbor.

 Richard Henry Dana wrote about his experiences in our harbor around 1832 or so 
 in his famous book "Two Years before The Mast."  
In those days sailors dreaded and preferred
being in a French prison than come to California.

Richard Henry Dana, a boy hood seaman who later
 became a lawyer and was the sea-brother of Melville the author of Moby Dick ...

Fortunately, for those of us who live along the South Orange County Coast, the locals have
become Stewards of this relatively quiet secret cove protected by the "Headlands" ... 
  we locals believe this is "Paradise" with beautiful sunsets and perfect weather.
