ENTRY RULES FOR THE ANNUAL SPANISH VILLAGE BY THE SEA ART CONTEST at the SAN CLEMENTE CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA:
1. Register by picking up a Registration form from the San Clemente Recreation Office or e-mail us your name, phone number or e-mail address so we can send or e-mail you a registration form to Melissa at muraira@san-clemente.org , Second Option: Fill out the Registration form below and send back to Melissa or just SHOW UP at 8am. General questions, feel free to contact Art Chair, Barbara Ross at bross007@oceanviewgallery.com .. GOOD LUCK and most of all have FUN!
2. Check-in at Max Berg Park at 8am
a. Adult artists must register their completed artwork beginning at 8 am prior to hanging - your artwork will be assigned a number - complete a silent auction form with minimum bid (optional) - limit 2 taking up a space no greater than 20x24 - if sold, they may be replaced with an alternate provided space available
b. Student artists must register their completed artwork beginning at 8am prior to hanging - your artwork will be assigned a number
3. Adult artist contestants can paint on a canvas no larger than 20x24. The painting can be framed or unframed but needs to be wired ready for hanging on the hooks that come with the display boards.
4. Student artist contestants can paint on paper (pastel or watercolor) or canvas boards. Paintings on paper should be matted to no larger than 11 x 14.
Apply removable "Uhu" adhesive to backs of art so that they can be stuck to the display panels. NOTE: Teachers may provide a list of thier students that will be entering - also, please solicit volunteers from each of your schools that can assist to register and hang the paintings.
5 Award Ceremony begins at 2pm: :
ADULT CATEGORY (Must be 18 or older) - Auction, Certificate, and Plaque ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention for each category)

STUDENT CATEGORY (Public, Private or Home Schooled) - Prize Money, Certificate and Ribbon (1st, 2nd, 3rd for each category) Honorable Mention (Certificate and Ribbon)

6. Monetary Prizes for Middle School and High School (1st, 2nd, 3rd place); Auction of Paintings (Artist has option to sell or not sell original) - ON THE SPOT- After 2pm
