I met Angie at Amanda Cameron's Art Studio Workshop and was entranced while watching her passionately working on a gorgeous landscape with a beautifully rich lavender and purple pallet .... loved it!

Please Welcome, Angie Knight
A passion for art from childhood in South Africa, was brought back to life here in California when Angie arrived in 1987. Her first goal was to become a Certified Yoga Instructor which she achieved in 1989, then Angie started taking art classes at Saddleback College with the aim to get her B.A. in Fine Arts. With drawing classes, Oil and Watercolor, Sculpture, Life Drawing and Painting in Plein Air, Ceramics and many years of devotion to Print Making from wood-cuts, Etching to Monotypes under her belt, Angie joined many of the Art Associations in the area and has had great success of winning many "RIBBONS" and selling her work at the local Art fairs throughout the area.
After buying her first home in America in 2001, Angie took a break from the art world and used her new home as her "canvas" changing the ordinary walls, floors and ceilings into an original African haven with murals, faux stone floors and African fabrics, baskets and accents purchased on her travels around South Africa and Botswana.
The craving for painting and expressing deep emotions on canvas opened the door to Amanda Cameron's Art Studio Workshop in 2006. Capturing the "Abalone light" of the Southern California atmosphere in Acrylics and Oils with it's palm trees, ocean and Mediterranean flora brings out the peace that Angie craves. Angie often uses her concern for the environment and the plight of animals in her work, but sometimes just the incredible beauty of nature is all that she wants to express.
